Roadmap: End-to-End Journey
Welcome to EntryDeck
This platform walks you through the entire UK Standard Visitor Visa process, from financial risk assessment to document preparation, AI-powered cover letter generation, and pre-arrival logistics. Follow the steps below in order.
Application Timeline
Track milestones from submission to departure
As of 2026, the UK has completely phased out physical BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) cards and passport visa stickers. Your entire immigration status is now 100% digital via your UKVI Account. The moment you receive your decision email, immediately log in and verify your digital eVisa shows the correct visa type, dates, and conditions. If your digital status shows an error or doesn't appear before your flight, do not travel; airlines will deny boarding if they cannot verify your digital status at check-in.
Use prompt: "eVisa Status Error Inquiry" - draft an AI-powered inquiry if your UKVI Account shows an error
EntryDeck prompts work with any major AI chatbot. Copy and paste them into whichever you prefer:
Google Gemini
Free advanced reasoning, Canvas mode for live document editing, generous context window.
Open GeminiChatGPT
Strong general reasoning, widely used, supports file uploads for document review.
Open ChatGPTClaude
Excellent at long-form writing and nuanced compliance analysis. Great for cover letters.
Open ClaudeUse one session throughout: Whichever AI you choose, keep a single chat session open for your entire journey. Do not start a new chat for each step. Inconsistencies between your cover letter, bank statements, and itinerary are the #1 trigger for automated UKVI refusal flags.
Your Step-by-Step Roadmap
Each step tells you exactly when to prompt AI, what to ask, and when to rely only on official sources. Steps marked AI-SAFE are ideal for AI assistants. Steps marked VERIFY mean AI output must be cross-checked on gov.uk. Steps marked CRITICAL are high-stakes actions requiring extra care.
Trust AI For
- • Drafting cover letters from your verified data
- • Explaining why specific documents strengthen your case
- • Cross-checking consistency between your documents
- • Generating formal letter templates (academic ref, employer NOC)
- • Travel planning, transit strategy, itinerary building
- • Explaining immigration concepts in plain language
Always Verify
- • Which visa type you need (rules change; check gov.uk)
- • Mandatory vs optional documents (use official checklist)
- • Processing times and fees (these update without notice)
- • Biometric centre locations and appointment slots
- • Country-specific requirements (e.g. TB test countries)
- • Any claim about "guaranteed approval"; no such thing exists
Consistency is everything
Every number in your cover letter must match your bank statements, payslips, and itinerary exactly. UKVI algorithms cross-check figures before a human officer even opens your file.
No unexplained deposits
Any lump sum over 50% of your monthly salary appearing in the last 3 months must be proactively explained with a source-of-funds letter and receipts.
Prove you're coming back
Strong home ties (employment, family obligations, property) are what separate approvals from refusals. Use the Prompt Architect to synthesize this argument.
Export your workspace
Use the Export/Import buttons in the sidebar to save and restore your progress. All data stays on your local device; nothing is transmitted to any server.
Everyone follows the same 22-step roadmap above. But depending on your traveler profile, you'll want to add these extra prompts to your AI session to address friction points unique to your situation.
The International Student
Limited funds, high anxiety about enrollment deadlines, zero UK credit history.
Also add to your plan:
Student Applicant prompt (zero-income cover letter)
Sponsored Visit prompt (prove parental funds are legal)
Giffgaff/Saily eSIM guide (get connected on landing)
The Tourist / HNW Visitor
Time-poor, overwhelmed by bureaucracy, terrified of a rejection blemish on their passport history.
Also add to your plan:
High-Net-Worth Visitor prompt (justify large balances)
Experiential Itinerary Builder (premium hidden gems)
First-Time Traveler prompt (if no prior stamps)
The Skilled Worker / Expat
Relocating entire families, managing corporate timelines, bringing dependants.
Also add to your plan:
Skilled Worker / Family Relocation prompt
Employer Verification Letter template
No-Objection Certificate (for dependant docs)
Privacy First: Your Data Never Leaves Your Browser
No databases. No servers. No analytics. No tracking pixels. Every number you enter on this page is processed entirely within your browser's local memory and is never transmitted anywhere. When you close this tab, your financial data ceases to exist unless you explicitly export it using the sidebar. Your privacy is absolute; this tool was built for people handling sensitive immigration documents who cannot afford data exposure.
UKVI 2026 eVisa Transition Warning
The UK has completely eliminated physical passport visa stickers. Your entire application is fully digital. Automated algorithms now scan financial data, document strings, and travel parameters before a human officer even loads your file. Consistency in figures across your sheets, prompt logs, and final cover letters is mandatory to survive the initial pre-departure filtering sweep.

Your Financial Profile (Local Currency)
Funds parking: UKVI flags sudden large deposits as borrowed money used to inflate your balance. If you select "Yes," use the Prompt Architect's "Unexplained Deposits Defense" prompt.

UK Digital Pre-Arrival Desk
Set up critical survival operations before boarding your flight. Ensure your mobile data, transit, and contactless cards are primed for London's cashless ecosystem.
Pre-Arrival Action Items 0% Done
Recommended Digital Networks
We recommend setting up accounts with these operators to guarantee smooth operations upon your arrival.
The UK Contactless System
The UK transport and retail networks are intensely digital. Cash is completely banned on all London buses and tube stations.
The Multi-Device Tap Rule
UK transport operators track fare caps automatically. If you tap in with Apple Pay on your phone, you MUST tap out using the same phone-never tap out with your smart watch or a physical credit card, even if linked to the same bank account. Otherwise, the system triggers separate maximum penalty fares.
The "Ticket Collection" Trap
When booking trains via Trainline or regional operators, if you choose physical ticket pickup, UK ticket machines require you to insert the exact same debit/credit card used online to verify your purchase.
Prompt Architect
Click any card to load it into the editor, then copy to your AI. Fill in your Profile and financial data on the Profile & Risk tab first - your name, nationality, employment, finances, and trip details are auto-injected into every prompt so you don't have to type them twice.
Prompt Library : click any card to load into the editor
Prompt Editor
Select a prompt from the library aboveHow to Use These Prompts
1. Open a single AI session (Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude) and keep it open for your entire journey.
2. Start with Pre-Application prompts to determine your visa type and required documents.
3. Fill in the Profile & Risk tab; those numbers auto-inject into Cover Letter prompts.
4. Use Document prompts to generate supporting letters (employer, academic, sponsor).
5. Edit the prompt text directly; replace placeholders like [your country] with your actual details.
6. After your visa is approved, use Post-Approval prompts for travel logistics.
Replace All Placeholders
Anything in [square brackets] is a placeholder. Replace every one with your real details before pasting into your AI chatbot. Sending generic prompts produces generic output.
Financial Data Injection
Prompts tagged AUTO-DATA pull live numbers from your Profile & Risk tab. Make sure those inputs are filled before using these prompts.
UKVI Fee Calculator
Estimate your total upfront cost before applying. All fees are non-refundable, even if refused. Figures sourced from gov.uk as of 2025. Always verify current fees on the official site before paying.
Configure Your Application
Cost Breakdown
Non-Refundable
All UKVI fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome. If refused, you lose the full amount. Budget for this as a sunk cost before starting your application.
Priority Availability
Priority and Super Priority processing are not available in all countries or at all times. Check the application portal for availability at your specific VAC location.
Long-Term Visas
2-year, 5-year, and 10-year visas let you visit multiple times. Each visit is still limited to 6 months. The fee is higher upfront but cheaper per-trip for frequent visitors.
VFS/TLS Fees
VFS Global and TLScontact charge a separate service fee for biometric enrolment. This varies by country (typically £55–£90). Some centres offer premium lounges or courier services for additional fees.
Refusal Paragraph Decoder
If your visa was refused, the decision letter cites specific paragraphs from the Immigration Rules. Find your refusal paragraph below to understand what it means, why it was triggered, and which prompt helps you fix it for a fresh application.
After a Refusal: General Guidance
1. Read the entire refusal letter carefully. The paragraphs cited tell you exactly what failed.
2. Do not resubmit the same application with no changes. This almost guarantees a second refusal.
3. Wait 3–6 months to gather new evidence that directly counters each refusal reason.
4. Use the "Post-Refusal: What Now?" and "Previous Visa Refusal" prompts in the Prompt Architect.
5. Administrative Review is only for caseworker errors (wrong person, wrong paragraph applied). It does not let you submit new evidence.
6. Always declare your previous refusal in any new application. Hiding it is a criminal offence under UK immigration law.
Application Readiness
This page aggregates your progress across EntryDeck and highlights what still needs attention before you submit your visa application. Green means ready. Amber or red means action needed.
